The philosophy behind PLAYFORMANCE
Story time:
He never imagined he would end up in a corporate role. Before stepping into the corporate world, his life looked completely different.
He worked in nightclubs and bars. He was an MC. A music producer. He even owned a music studio.
Corporate life wasn’t a dream — it was never even a plan. He entered the corporate world out of financial necessity. But once inside, he made a conscious choice: if he was going to stay, he would stay sane — and most importantly, happy.
So he decided to treat everything like a game. To protect his mindset and his joy, he reframed daily tasks, processes, and challenges as levels, missions, and quests.
And then he started asking the people around him a simple question:
“How many of you actually dreamed of becoming corporatists?”
Very few hands went up.
That’s when he suggested something radical — yet deeply human: Stay children. Keep playing. As he progressed quickly into QA and trainer roles, he finally had the opportunity to bring this way of thinking into the open.
Gamification was no longer just a personal coping mechanism — it became a visible, intentional tool.
